The Kiwanis Club of Joplin has an exciting lineup of events planned for the year. Here's a glimpse into what's scheduled:
February
Annual Pancake Day Fundraiser
Date: Friday, February 13, 2026, Location: St. Phillips Episcopal Church, 706 Byers Avenue in Joplin. A beloved tradition, this event features all-you-can-eat pancakes, with proceeds supporting local youth programs. Pancakes, Sausage, Coffee, Orange Juice. $10 a person.
April
Golf Tournament at Eagle Creek. Friday April 10th, 2026. Remember the Master Tournament which is the United State is the unofficial opening of Golf Season.
June
Back-to-School Supply Drive
Date: July 20 - August 10, 2025, Location: Weekly meetings at Joplin Elks Club : Members Collecting school supplies for underprivileged students to ensure they're equipped for the new academic year.

Celebrating Joplin's History

Joplin Historical Neighborhoods Museum, Schifferdecker & Zelleken Homes
When: June 2, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
Duration: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Costs: $21.00 total, unless paid online, then $21.63 (with a 3% service fee added).
• $10.00 Entrance Fee.

О A standard entrance fee is required as the Museum must provide staff to
lead the tours.
o The Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
$11.00 boxed lunch, Christine will cater.
Lunch will be served, at the end of the tour, in the Welcome Center
located in the basement of the Schifferdecker home.
Lunch will be available to go for those who are time crunched
All visitors must begin the tour by viewing a short introductory video in the Carriage House.
Ground level access, i.e., no stairs.
Tour includes climbing approximately 70 stairs.

Lifts are available from ground level to the first floors, but not to upper levels.
Video presentations are available on the first floor of the upper levels for those
unable to climb the stairs.
Parking: Only on-street parking is allowed.
Park along West 5th Street and on South Sergeant Avenue.
Entrance is via the South gate on 5th Street.
