Local Service Projects

Joplin Kiwanis Club positively impacts the lives of children in our community through meaningful projects such as:

Providing college and trade scholarships for local students;
Sponsoring an annual Art Fair contest for area students with cash prizes for the top three judged entries;
For over 25 years, the Kiwanis Club of Joplin has sponsored Christmas/Hanukkah parties for Joplin elementary school students. Students are given pizza lunches with soda served by Kiwanians, with take home bags of Candy. Santa arrives and gives each student winter gloves and hats. The schools are chosen by economic need;
Kiwanis provides Joplin ‘Bright Futures’ with student headphones and backpacks at the beginning of each school year.
Monthly awards and recognition of area Educators and First Responders.
