Welcome To:
Key Club
Key Club members in Joplin and around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities.
The Joplin Kiwanis Club has provided scholarships to local students for over 50 years. Many recipients have returned from college to be local community leaders.
Key Club is a growing organization with global reach. With 1000s of clubs in 45 countries, the impact of Key Club members can be felt all over the world.
Our Kiwanis Club was proud to present two scholarships in 2024 as part of Joplin High School Scholarship Awards Program. We gave scholarships to graduating Seniors Alexandra Carson, and Megan Meeker. Both are members of the Kiwanis Key Club of Joplin High School.
The Kiwanis Club of Joplin founded the first Joplin High School Key Club seventy-six years ago, in 1948. Our purpose was not only to sponsor scholarships for at least one student each year, but also to encourage community service by members, and outstanding academic achievement as well. This year's recipients excelled in both. Congratulations to Alexandra and Megan for a job well done, and wishes for continued success.
